Purple Certificate Program

Purple Certificate is a gender education program targeting high school teachers. The goal of the program, which takes place at Sabanci University Campus, is to develop a critical perspective on gender issues among high school teachers. At the end of the program, participant teachers are given Purple Certificates.

The Goals of the Purple Certificate Program:

The goals of the program are listed below:

• To make gender studies the core of high school education, and to reflect the sensibility on this issue on both various classes and social activities. 
• To raise awareness of human rights of women among high school teachers and students.
• To form a common ground among participants about gender.
• To focus on the principle of ‘learning how to learn’ and to empower and support high school teachers to develop strategies about education with gender awareness.
