MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Sabanci Foundation launched the "Turkey's Changemakers" project to share inspiring stories of individuals who make a difference in social and economic development.

 

The third episode of the program airs on CNN Turk, 18 October at 18:30 and showcases the story of Ercan Tutal who runs camps and programs for persons with disabilities. Because of Ercan, they learn how to scuba dive, and participate in all sorts of artistic and sports activities.

 

Nominated to be an Ashoka Fellow, Ercan has always been keen to make a difference in the lives of persons living with disabilities. For several years, Ercan has been running the "Alternative Camp" for youth with disabilities and is the first and only instructor who can teach the disabled to dive.
