The school was established in 1966 as a junior high school. In 1968 it was moved to its current place which was donated by the Sabanci Group to the Ministry of National Education. In 1973, the 50th anniversary of the Turkish Republic, the senior high school section opened and the school was renamed after the 50th anniversary.

 

In order to accommodate the increasing number of students, an annex with 12 classrooms was built by the Sabanci Foundation in 1986 and is managed under the auspices of the Ministry of National Education.

 

The School has been established on a total area of 9,000 square meters and has a closed area of 3,000 square meters.

 

The school, applying foreign language based education program since the academic year of 2000-2001, has been transformed into Anatolian High School as of 2013-2014 academic year and the name of the school has been changed to Sabanci 50th Year Anatolian High School.

 

There are 20 classrooms, physics, chemistry, biology and foreign language laboratories, a computer room, a library, sports facilities, and administrative offices. Additionally, the Sabanci 50th Year Anatolian High School has a multipurpose hall with a capacity of 300 people, used for sports, drama, presentations, and meetings.
