Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra -2022

Founded and supported by the Sabancı Foundation for 10 years as its Main Supporter, the Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (TUGFO) ended its 2022 tour after 4 concerts in Czechia and Germany, in addition to a number of concerts in Turkey. The first concert of the tour took place in Prague's historical concert hall Rudolfinum, and the last concert took place in Konzerthaus in Berlin as part of the international classical music festival: Young Euro Classic 2022.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary, TUGFO successfully represented Turkey in Czechia and Germany with 60 young musicians selected from Turkey's most successful conservatories. The orchestra has performed in important concert halls in Europe and received full marks from music lovers.

In addition to the works of Tchaikovsky, Fauré and Schumann, the orchestra's repertoire this year includes Evrim Demirel's "Ottoman Miniatures 2", which TUGFO specially ordered for its 2022 tour. The orchestra's soloist on this tour was young cellist Poyraz Baltacıgil.

During this year's camp period, The Turkish National Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Conductor Cem Mansur, learned from violinist Hande Küden of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, who had been a young member of TUGFO, and Sezai Kocabıyık, solo oboist of the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra and Borusan Philharmonic Orchestra. As part of its 2022 tour, TUGFO performed at Bursa Uludağ University, and in Istanbul İş Sanat Cultural Center and Ankara CSO Concert Hall in Turkey.
