Background
People with mental disabilities are able to get vocational training and yet they are unable to practice the skills they have gained. They also find limited opportunities to participate in social life. Eregli Sevgi Down Cafe model, developed in order to secure applied training for students with mental disabilities, provides a solution.
Project Goals

In Konya:
- Down Cafe Implementation Guide draft will be introduced to stakeholders, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Family and Social Policies to receive their feedback.
- Down Cafe Implementation Guide for establishing and managing applied training and sheltered work places will be produced.
- Implementation guide will be published and disseminated to relevant ministries and units in local governance. The guide will provide a road map for the ones willing to establish similar work places.
