Background

NGOs in the youth field have a great responsibility on playing active role on the self involving issues for the young, adopting right based approach, works that impacts society positively, strengthening young people and capacity building activities. In this regard, a sustainable and holistic support is necessary to strengthen NGOs in the field of youth and especially youth workers.

Project Goals

  • Twenty-four participants from different provinces will be determined with an open call. 
  • Four trainings in fourteen subjects in total will be held. 
  • Mentorship support will be provided during and after the project.
  • Needs of youth field research will be conducted.
  • "How to use" videos of the materials and methods that are used in learning modules will be recorded.

Project Results

  • Four capacity building trainings under 14 titles were held with 24 participants selected from 15 different cities through an open call.
  • Mentoring support was provided to all participants participating in the program.
  • 14 tools and methods used in non-formal education methodology were made into “how-to” videos under the name of Visual Toolbox in an accessible way.
  • As a result of interviews with youth workers from different regions of Turkey, ‘tThe Youth Workers' Needs Report’ was composed and published.
