Member of the Board of Trustees of Sabancı Foundation
Ms. Dilek Sabancı, who was born in Adana, undertook the mission of her father Sakip Sabancı especially in the areas of social responsibility and philanthropy. She is a Member of the Board of Trustees of Sabancı Foundation and President of the Turkish Spastic Children's Foundation.
Ms. Dilek Sabancı is also the Chair of the Board of Directors of Vista Tourism and Travel which she established in 1989.
Ms. Dilek Sabancı is the benefactor of the “Dilek Sabancı Awards” and scholarships granted to encourage outstanding students and athletes in their respective fields. She was honored with various awards thanks to her outstanding support for the training, development and sports acts of the children with disabilities.
Ms. Dilek Sabancı has also funded several facilities around Turkey through Sabancı Foundation including “Dilek Sabancı Anatolian Vocational Trade School”, “Besiktas Municipality Dilek Sabancı Park”, “Dilek Sabancı Antalya Sports Hall”, “Dilek Sabancı Vocational Rehabilitation and Business Center for the Children with Disabilities”, “Konya Selcuk University Dilek Sabancı Conservatory” as well as “Sakip Sabancı City Museum and Dilek Sabancı Art Gallery” in Mardin.
Ms. Dilek Sabancı received the first Honorary Doctorate degree from Mardin Artuklu University on January 28, 2016 for her contributions to the city of Mardin.
