“The fifth Changemaker of the 9th season of the Sabancı Foundation Turkey’s Changemakers Program is E-Bursum which makes scholarship system more fair and accessible for university students.”
Mesut Keskin founded a social enterprise called E-Bursum in 2015, based on the difficulties he had for finding a scholarship during his university education. E-Bursum brings together institutions that offer scholarship and students who need scholarship, in a website. Thus, the distance is removed between students and grantors for the scholarships from different cities which is one of the main problems during the scholarship process.
E-Bursum not only provides scholarship opportunities but also helps students to find internship in the institutions that offer scholarship.
Until now, 150 thousand students used the website of E-Bursum. The application helped 4 thousand students to get 13 million Turkish Liras of scholarship.
Mesut Keskin created a huge difference both in the lives of philanthropists and thousands of students with the equal and fair scholarship system that he founded.
