People with Down syndrome are exposed to discrimination throughout their lives. Developed countries place great importance to improve the self-advocacy skills of people with mental disabilities. In order to overcome the social bias against people with Down syndrome in Turkey, there is a need to train people with Down syndrome for self-advocacy.
