YouthBank 2

Background

Youth cannot participate actively in social life and their interaction with local decision makers is limited. The notion of “Youth is our future” prevents young people from being the “partners of today”.

Project Goals

• In Istanbul, Izmir, Samsun, Artvin, Adiyaman, Canakkale, Batman and 2 cities:
  • 2 new YouthBanks will be established in addition to the 8 present YouthBanks.
  • Youth-led projects will receive micro-grants through local YouthBanks.
  • 30 local projects in 9 cities will be supported through 10 YouthBank teams.
  • YouthBank trainings will be held and a donation guidebook will be prepared for local institutions.

Project Results

• YouthBanks were established in 11 provinces of Turkey.
• YouthBank teams supported 180 local projects mobilizing 3,000 youth.
