Background

Since 2010, BBOM Association designed an alternative education model as a solution to the educational problems in Turkey. Democratic management, ecology, authentic finance and alternative education are the 4 key pillars of this model. In order to scale up this alternative education model, it is necessary to train alternative teachers with adequate skills.

Project Goals

An announcement will be made and 24 teachers from different disciplines (pre-school education, class, branch, special training) will be selected.
A 41-day training will be given to teachers in BBOM schools located in different cities.
At least 12 teachers in the training program will be employed in BBOM schools.
An online platform will be established in order for other teachers to follow the trainings online.

Project Results

The training program was announced and 27 participants from different disciplines were selected.
A 41-day training was given to participants at BBOM facilities located in different cities.
After the trainings 7 participants were employed in BBOM schools, and 4 participants were employed in similar initiatives.
Training program is open to everyone via BBOM's youtube channel and BBOm website.
