Background

Domestic violence, domestic and social pressure, early and forced marriage, unschooling and no use of succession and democratic rights are some of the common problems faced by women in Mardin. It is necessary to support women to overcome their trauma and raise their awareness.

Project Goals

  • In Mardin:
    • Trainings on gender, violence, rights and education will be given to 160 women in groups.
    • Psychological support will be provided to women in need.
    • Voluntary women will attend art therapy workshops on doll-making.
    • The stories shared at the doll-making workshops will be gathered in a book.

Project Results

  • In Mardin:
    • 160 women participated in trainings on gender, violence, rights and communication.
    • Psychological support was provided to 45 women in need; 80 women participated in group psychotherapy workshops.
    • 140 women attended art therapy workshops on doll-making.
    • The stories shared at the doll-making workshops were gathered in a book and shared with interested parties.
