Sabancı Planetarium
Launched in 4th April 2012, Sabancı Planetarium has been built on a space of 2,751 square meters inside the Eskişehir Science Arts and Culture Park.
The technical infrastructure for the planetarium has been provided by the Sabanci Foundation upon the conditional donation of Cimsa. Designed as a full dome of 180° x 360° with an inner diameter of 14 meter, it carries a capacity for 96 visitors.
In addition to being the largest planetarium in Turkey with state-of-the-art technology, the Planetarium also boasts qualities that match its peers around the globe.
Hosting interactive presentations and shows, Sabanci Planetarium holds two separate high-resolution projectors equipped with fish-eye lens that yield 16 mega pixel images. The shows take place in the 360° full-dome which is based on scientific observations, data and models, offering spectators the experience of a live journey to the universe, galaxies, stars, earth and the planets.
