Sabanci Gynecological Oncology Department, incepted in 1993, has been established on a total area of 3,370 square meters and has a closed area of 2,370 square meters.
The repair of the health institution has been undertaken by Sabanci Foundation and its usage rights belong to Istanbul University.
Department of Gynecological Oncology has been opened in Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty for the first time in Turkey. Sabanci Gynecological Oncology Center, providing service at a mono-block building with a capacity of 35 beds, is only center in the Middle East in this field.

Cancer treatment and early diagnosis services are provided at the center. Specialist staff, required for the treatment of female genital organ cancers in line with scientific researches, is trained at the center.
There is a waiting room for 30 people, a library with a capacity of 15 people, a meeting room of 50 people, and an archive, holding approximately 5,000 patient files at the health institution.
