Hacı Sabancı Swimming Pool

Haci Sabanci Swimming Pool, built by Sabanci Foundation in 2002, is a half Olympic pool, 13 meters wide, 25 meters long and 2 meters deep, and is being used for training, sports and health activities.

The pool approximately holds 600 cubic meters of water and tap water is used to fill the pool up. With the current filtration system, the whole pool can be filtered within 4-5 hours. The temperature of the pool water is 28.6°C and ambient temperature is 30°C. The pool water is automatically filtered 24 hours a day, the necessary chemicals are automatically observed, and a complete analysis of the water is done at the laboratories of the Provincial Health Directorate every 15 days.

The facility provides service 12 months a year and it is one of the most preferred pools in Ankara due to its ease of use and cleanliness. The platforms around the pool, where small competitions can be organized, hold 300 spectators.

Aside from free style swimming, swimming lessons are provided by experienced trainers at the pool to children between the ages of 6-16, adults, and to the disabled for therapy and exercising. Private lessons are also available.

The shows prepared by the students of Sadika Sabanci Day-Care Center at the end of the year take place at the pool where the parents can watch their children perform.
