General Information

Sabancı Foundation scholarships are awarded so that successful students with financial difficulties can pursue a university education. Scholarships are for 10 months and are transferred to the recipient student's bank account between October and June.

Each year a "University Admission Scholarship" is granted to those students with outstanding performances in that year's Higher Education Institutions Exam, along with the grants provided to "Graduates of High Schools in Provinces with a Priority in Development" and "Disabled Students" with outstanding performance in the same Examination.  “Other Scholarships” by conditional donations are determined by the donors.

Scholarships for Provinces with Priority in Development: This scholarship is granted to one student from each 15 provinces chosen by Sabanci Foundation. The student must have achieved the highest score in the Higher Education Institutions Exam in his or her province.

Disabled Students Scholarship: This scholarship is granted to students in three groups: Visually-impaired, orthopedically-impaired and hearing-impaired. Five students who rank top five scores in the Higher Education Institutions Exam in each group shall be entitled to such scholarship.

Achievement Scholarships: Under the Conditional Donation Scholarships program, these scholarships are funded by the Sabancı family members through funds established with the Foundation. They are awarded to students who have achieved high grades at schools bearing their names or who have demonstrated outstanding performance in the YKS (Higher Education Exam) upon graduation.

Death Scholarships: Children of Sabancı Group employees who pass away while working for the company are awarded scholarships for primary and secondary education.
