BACKGROUND

It is necessary to take advantage of the opportunities technology offers on all rings of the value chain to increase the competitive power of the economy and render it sustainable. For this purpose, it is necessary to contribute to the development of students and teachers who can demonstrate the modern educational requirements followed by the world in the field of technology.

PROJECT GOALS

• 150 teachers in Adana, Konya, Mardin and Trabzon will be given 2 days of applied electronics and programming training.
• Each teacher who is trained will form volunteer teams consisting of 4-5 students. Students will develop projects developing solutions to problems they ascertain from their environment in the topics of environment, energy and smart cities using their technology kits. 
• The projects will be evaluated by an independent jury and the first 20 projects selected will show their prototypes in Istanbul.
• The awarded projects will be supported by Maker camp, prototype and business model development and coding trainings.

PROJECT RESULTS

• 150 teachers in Adana, Konya, Mardin and Trabzon were given two days of applied electronics and programming training.
• Each teacher who is trained formed volunteer teams consisting of 4-5 students. Students developed projects developing solutions to problems they ascertain from their environment in the topics of environment, energy and smart cities using their technology kits.
• 845 students developed 165 project ideas. The first 20 projects selected from four cities presented their prototypes to jury in Istanbul.
• The awarded projects were supported by maker and entrepreneurship camps and coding trainings provided in Sabancı University.
