- The 6th Annual Sabanci Foundation Philanthropy Seminar Focuses on “Innovation in Education” - This Year’s Seminar Under The Theme “Philanthropy for Education: Innovations and Opportunities”, will Host M’hammed Abbad Andaloussi and Irene Pritzker who are Promoting Equal Access and Quality in Education

On December 10, 2012, the sixth annual Sabancı Foundation Philanthropy Seminarwill be held under the theme of “Philanthropy for Education: Innovations and Opportunities” at the Sabancı Center in Istanbul.

This year’s seminar will host M’hammed Abbad Andaloussi, founder of the NGO Al Jisr whichworks towards the improvement of education system via cooperation with private sector, foundations and the public sector; and Irene Pritzker, founder of US-based IDP (Innovation Development Progress) Foundation which applies micro-credit practices to improve the quality of education in Africa.

The speakers will address the implications of cross-sectorial cooperation (private sector- civil society-public sector) to support and promote the education system and share experiences regarding their innovative programs.

Held since 2007, Sabancı Foundation Philanthropy Seminars bring together NGOs, foundations, public and private sector representatives together with international experts to allow discussion of new approaches in philanthropy and civil society.
