Sabancı Vakfı Art Award - Folk Dances Competition

The Sabancı Foundation supported the Folk Dances Contest between 1994 and 2012 in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

For 20 years, “Folk Dances Contest Award” was granted, in cash payments, to the groups ranking top 5 and 5 groups worthy of honorable mention.

In the contests where the best examples of folk dances representing the Anatolian culture was performed, 400 groups and more than 20 thousand dancers were hosted while nearly 200 awards were granted in 20 years.
